Dragonfish

Dragonfish is one of my all time favorites. I believe the early happy hour goes until 6 and then again from 10-1am, splendid. They have 4 and 5 dollar drnks, along with 3 and 4 dollar eatin's.

Chicken Satay, Beef Satay, pot stickers, chinese bbq pork, spring rolls, and more. The best part is you can have a couple of drinks, eat a couple of things and then have the lemongrass infused crem brulee. Now, that stuff is goo-ood. I don't know of any other happy hour that has that, let alone, any other restaurant that has as good of a crem brulee, let alone the price.

I've been there several times, and I will be there again. Look for a few stories from this place soon.

Swank. SWANK.

Yes, this place made a great impression on me. I sat on a comfy couch instead of the bar or at a table. Jazz was playing too, so a great setup.

Now, the menu - so many great options - mini pizzas, Mini phili cheese steak, shrimp, all kinds of stuff $5 or under.

The drinks are a bit meager, but strong. Gin Martini or Cosmo, or a few select beers. The service is OUTSTANDING, it's like have your very own Belvedere. I will be returning, oh yes, I WILL be returning.

An experience at the Old Peculiar

The Old Peculiar review is here

So, over the Summer of 2005, Don had a bbq at his place and it had been quite some time. Luckily, Dustin (some way we were separated at birth) was in town, and Tom brought him along. The rest of the old gang was there too, Jason, and Doug and let me tell ya, no one changes.

So, we drank a bit at Don's then headed to the Old Peculiar for drinks and darts. We started out with Strongbow (duh) and after a few games, yours truly, The Glen says, "Tequila shots"? An overwhelming yes brought on not only my round, by a round bought by Dustin and Tom as well, and then a bonus shot for Dustin to get the out of towner really tanked.

The dart game wound down and it was getting late, but we were all drunk drunk drunk. A discussion was started about Chili Dogs and as we all stumbled down to the Denny's a few people were asked if they wanted Chili Dogs, all I can say is oy!

The long and short of it is the Old Peculiar pulled through with liquor and darts the rest was up to the gang, and we did what we always do it in that situation. Drink, burp, laugh and stumble.
